OUTLINE ITINERARY
The first leg of the Navigational Drive on Sunday October 20th will take us to the medieval town of Faenza and its ceramics industry, Lugo where the myth surrounding the Ferrari logo started and to Bagnacavallo with its imposing 17th century Piazza Nuova Square. For the next 2 days we will explore the wine growing region of Romagna, visiting the towns of Forli and Cesena and test your driving skills on the famous Dino and Enzo Ferrari racing circuit in Imola.
On Wednesday 23rd after a 240mile drive we will re-group at the Gianicolo Hill and drive in convoy to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Over the next 4 days we will visit the 15th century Odescalchi Castle on the shores of Lake Bracciano….. partake in a treasure hunt discovering some ancient and modern sights of Rome ….. drive to the charming hilltop villages on Rome`s doorsteps known as ‘Castelli Romani ‘ and drive over 100miles south to the Royal Palace of Caserta, to meet the Mini Club of Naples. We will bid farewell to Rome on Monday 28th driving to Tuscany and a charming vineyard in in Chianti …. driving throughout the glorious Tuscan countryside north of Lucca up to the medieval town of Barga and our base for the night, Il Ciocco Resort and Spa An early start next day, Tuesday 29th, for the drive up to the formula one circuit of Monza and then the Lingotto Hotel in Turin. A morning of special stages on the Lingotto Roof Top on Wednesday Oct. 30th and after lunch a farewell parade through the city lead by Turin traffic Police will close our program in Italy.
On Thursday Oct. 31st we will start our return journey to Calais and the UK.
Awards presentation Gala Dinner (black tie) on November 2nd at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London
